Dr. William Squires Muir, M.D., is an expert in orthopedic surgery specializing in spinal conditions. He obtained his M.D. from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1986 and holds a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Stanford School of Medicine in 1977. Dr. Muir completed his spine fellowship at Ashville Surgical Center and his residency at the Phoenix Orthopedic Residency Program. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and holds medical licenses in Nevada, Utah, and California.
Currently, Dr. Muir practices as a spine surgeon at Sports and Spine at Summerlin Hospital. Previously, he served at the Intermountain Spine Institute and held positions such as Professor of Spinal Surgery at El Cima Hospital in Costa Rica and Consultant for Spinal Concepts. Dr. Muir has also been involved in charitable work, serving as a Trustee for the Desert Foundation and Chairman of Healthier Communities. Notably, he was the Chief of Staff for Orthopedics at Cottonwood Hospital.
