Dr. Parnell completed his B.S.E. in 1978 from Georgia Institute of Technology. Then he earned his M.S.M.E. in 1979 and his Ph.D. in 1984 from Stanford University.
Currently, Dr. Parnell is the Principal and Founder of Parnell Engineering & Consulting (PEC). Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors at CSIX Connect and Composite Materials Expert at NAFEMS Composites Working Group. He is also the Vice-Chair at Stanford Composites Group. Prior to this, he was the Quality Assurance Manager at Springborne Life Sciences and an Adjunct Faculty at Santa Clara University School of Engineering.
Dr. Parnell has additional knowledge in medical devices, finite element analysis, nanotechnology, project management, biotechnology and product development.
