She has an Advanced Practice Nurse license and a Registered Nurse license from the state of Tennessee.

Currently, Dr. Barzyk is an Adjunct Faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and is the Wound Care Educator at PESI. She is also the CEO and CCO at Integumetrix and also an expert witness at Nexus Legal.
