He graduated from Harcourt Learning School as an appliance repair technician, specializing in appliance technology, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and a Master's degree from the US Naval War College. Additionally, he has pursued continuing education in diesel engines, appliance technology, and the cause and origin determination of appliance fires and fuel gas systems. Thomas is also a licensed Massachusetts Oil Burner technician.
Currently, Thomas works under the supervision of John P. Certuse, PE, at ISE Engineering, also known as Industrial Services & Engineering, Inc., where he focuses on evaluating fire scene testing, examination, and cause and origin determination.
