Dr. Thomas Stephen Kickler, M.D. is the hematology expert witness from Baltimore. He also has expertise in clinical pathology and internal medicine. He is also certified in clinical pathology in 1984 from American Board of Pathology. He earned his M.D. in 1973 from the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He then completed his first residency in clinical pathology in 1976 and his second residency in internal medicine in 1978 from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicineand and the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education. He further completed his fellowship in hematology in 1980 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Kickler's clinical research involves the study of pathologic blood clotting in variety of clinical disorders. Current research is in Pharmacogenomics of anti-coagulant agents, the role of platelet activation in coronary artery restenosis, atherosclerosis in HIV infection, and platelet activation in response to chronic cocaine ingestion. He is also studying novel biomarkers of coagulation activation in patients with anti-phospholipid syndrome. He teaches laboratory hematology to hematology fellows and attends in the fellows clinic. Dr. Thomas Kickler is a professor of medicine, oncology and pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has few publications to his credit.
