Currently, Hegyi is Co-Director of the Division of Neonatology at the Department of Pediatrics from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he is Program Director of the Division of Neonatology at Department of Pediatrics from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he is Professor of Pediatrics with tenure of the Department of Pediatrics from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Vice-Chairman of Pediatrics for Academic Affairs at the Department of Pediatrics from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is a Fellow of the Babies Hospital at College of Physicians and Surgeons from the Columbia University of New York. He also has several publications to his credit.
