Berry, P.E., is a mechanical engineer with more than four decades of experience in mechanical engineering, product safety, machine design, human factors, accident analysis, and engineering testing. Since August 2005, he has operated an independent engineering practice as Thomas A. Berry P.E. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Advance Technology, Inc. from 1982 to 2005, where his responsibilities included supervising junior engineers, conducting research, designing and testing products, and evaluating machines for compliance with applicable safety standards.

Mr. Berry earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University in 1990 and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 1981, graduating Cum Laude. He has been a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Kansas since 1986 and has completed continuing education in finite element analysis, psychology, and injury biomechanics.

Throughout his career, Mr. Berry has worked on the design, testing, and safety evaluation of agricultural, industrial, and construction equipment, including operator protective structures, guarding systems, emergency controls, vehicle stability testing, and hazard analysis. His experience also includes human factors studies, accident trend analysis, and product warning development. He has authored numerous technical papers on engineering design, machine safety, agricultural equipment, and injury prevention, and has participated in ASME safety committees. Mr. Berry is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
