Prior to forming his consulting practice, Mr. Setcavage was employed by State Farm Insurance Companies from 1988 through 2012. During that time, he served in multiple supervisory and management roles, including Litigation Claim Team Manager, Automobile Claim Team Manager, Claim Litigation Supervisor, and Claim Supervisor. His responsibilities included oversight of claim handling, litigation management, and supervision of claims personnel.
Mr. Setcavage holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College. He has earned the Casualty Claim Law Associate (CCLA) designation from the American Educational Institute and the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from the Insurance Institute of America. His additional coursework includes CPCU studies in ethics, contract analysis, legal environment of insurance, and management.
He maintains multiple insurance adjuster licenses, including All Lines Adjuster licenses in Texas and Florida, and holds certifications as a certified arbitrator and certified mediator. He has also completed certification training approved by the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
