Dr. Steven Keith Green, J.D., Ph.D., is a distinguished expert in constitutional history, American religious history, and law. He earned his Ph.D. in Constitutional History from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1997, and holds both an M.A. in American Religious History (1987) and a J.D. (1981) from the University of Texas. Dr. Green also holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Texas Christian University in 1978.

Currently, Dr. Green is the Fred H. Paulus Professor of Law and an Affiliated Professor of History and Religious Studies at Willamette University, where he has served since 2001. He also served as the Director of the Willamette Center for Religion, Law, and Democracy from 2007 to 2020. Prior to his tenure at Willamette, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Vermont Law School and has guest lectured at prestigious institutions such as Georgetown University Law Center and American University's Washington College of Law.
