Dr. Steven Allen Barrington, M.D., is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon based in Montgomery, Alabama. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1985, following a Bachelor of Science at the United States Air Force Academy in 1981. Dr. Barrington's medical training includes an internship in General Surgery at the University of Alabama Hospitals, followed by residencies in General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at the same institution. He further specialized with a fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine's Southern Joint Replacement Institute. Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1993 and recertified in 2014, Dr. Barrington holds an active medical license in Alabama.
Since January 2001, Dr. Barrington has been in private practice as an orthopaedic surgeon at Alabama Orthopaedic Specialists, P.A. His extensive military service includes roles such as Chief of Orthopaedic Services at Maxwell AFB and Commander of the Surgical Flight at Osan AB in South Korea.
