Dr. Wheatcraft is the President of Wheatcraft & Associates, where he provides expert witness consulting and litigation support in contaminant hydrogeology, a field he has been consulting in since 1988. Additionally, he has served as Professor Emeritus at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) since 2008, and was a professor at the university from 1993 to 2008, specializing in contaminant hydrogeology, stochastic transport in heterogeneous porous media, and hydrogeophysics. His academic contributions also include serving as Associate Director of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program of Hydrologic Sciences at UNR, and he has held several positions at the Desert Research Institute (DRI), including Research Professor. Dr. Wheatcraft has been a member of the Hydrology/Hydrogeology Interdisciplinary Graduate Program Faculty since 1979, contributing significantly to the field through both teaching and research. With a career that spans several decades, Dr. Wheatcraft’s expertise is grounded in his extensive research on groundwater hydraulics, contaminant transport, and modeling of groundwater systems. His work in hydrogeology is recognized internationally, making him a leading figure in the field.
