Stephen Andrew Mikulak

Stephen Andrew Mikulak, M.D. is an orthopedic surgery specialist in Newport Beach, California. He has been in practice for more than 25 years. He also specializes in muscles, bones, joints, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, tumors, infections, and birth defects. He is one of the pioneers of minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery. He completed his Medical Education at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine (Medical Doctor). Then, he completed his Internship in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Further, he completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He completed his Internship in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Orthopaedic Hospital. He was the first surgeon in Orange County to perform outpatient hip replacement surgery. His protocol for pain management coupled with less invasive surgery has resulted in rapid recovery from hip and knee replacement surgeries. At the University of Southern California, he received numerous prestigious academic scholarships and was named Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for his outstanding performance in medical school. He crossed town to UCLA where he completed his orthopedic surgery residency and a subspecialty fellowship in Joint Replacement Surgery. He has published and presented extensive research projects. He has been in private practice since finishing his training in 1998 and currently is a hip and knee specialist at California Orthopedic Specialists in Newport Beach, California. He completed a residency at Los Angeles County Harbor - UCLA Medical Center. He currently practices at California Orthopedic Specs and is affiliated with Hoag Hospital Newport Beach.
