Dr. Stephen Frederick Brockmeier, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgery expert from Virginia. He completed his medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Later, he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Georgetown University. He also completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
Currently, Dr. Brockmeier is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia, specialising in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction. He is a team physician for the University of Virginia Cavaliers and the director of the UVA Sports Medicine Fellowship. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and also holds subspecialty certification in sports medicine by the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
