Dr. Shoo K. Lee, M.B.B.S., Ph.D., F.R.C.P.C. is a distinguished physician and expert in neonatal-perinatal medicine, with an extensive academic and clinical background. He earned his M.B.B.S. from Université Laval and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Health Policy (Economics) at Harvard University. His education also includes a Master's in Health Policy from Harvard School of Public Health and a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Western University.

Currently, Dr. Lee serves as an Honorary Physician at Mount Sinai Hospital and is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto, where he has held multiple leadership roles, including Director of the Maternal-Infant Health Research Centre and Head of the Department of Newborn and Developmental Paediatrics at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He is also recognized as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Lee’s contributions to the field include his tenure as Scientific Director of the Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and leadership in the Canadian Neonatal Network. His expertise has significantly advanced maternal-infant health research and policy, making him a leading authority in his field.
