Shelene Smith Giles, M.S., B.S.N., R.N., C.R.C., C.N.L.C.P., C.L.C.P., M.S.C.C., L.N.C.C. is a Nursing and Life Care Planner in Hendersonville, North Carolina, She had more than 20 years of practicing experience in the field of nursing and life care planning. She also has extensive knowledge and experience in medical and vocational case management fields. She holds college degrees in Nursing, Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, and Business Administration. She is a licensed Registered Nurse and her certifications include Certified Nurse Life Care Planner, Certified Life Care Planner, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Medicare Set-Aside Consultant Certified, and Legal Nurse Consultant Certified. Over twenty years ago, Giles began her career in assisting those with disabilities in the community. She entered into a world of medical issues without full knowledge of the medical process. She provides services as a consultant and expert witness in both state and federal courts. She completed her Bachelor of Arts with double major in Counseling Psychology & Business Administration with GPA: 3.6 from Piedmont College, Demorest, Georgia in August 1989. She also completed her Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling with GPA: 4.0 from Fort Valley State College, Fort Valley, Georgia in December 1991. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with GPA: 3.6 from Georgia College, Macon, Georgia in August 1995. She is the member of several organizations with a concentration in catastrophic injuries, illnesses and life care planning. In 2008, she served on the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP®) Executive Board as President. She is the Founder and President of FIG Services, Inc., Hendersonville, North Carolina.
