Dr. Sheldon Robert Hurwitz, M.D., M.S. is a diagnostic radiology expert from Nevada. He has an active medical practitioner’s license from the state of California, Nevada and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Nuclear Medicine and American Board of Radiology. He completed his graduation in 1970 from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland and finished Masters in Biomedical Engineering with honours from Whiting School of Engineering (Johns Hopkins). He further pursued his residency in Diagnostic Radiology from the University of California, San Francisco in 1978 and also in Internal Medicine from the University of California, San Diego in 1974. He was involved with the United States Navy for the year of 1974 to 1976 and also served as an active reserve for the year of 1965 to 1991. Currently, Dr. Hurwitz is a diagnostic radiologist at St Jude Medical Group, Inc. and also Director of Bone Densitometry at Hoag Memorial Hospital since 1996. He has numerous publications to his credit. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Medicine and Life Insurance Medical Research Institute.
