Dr. Sheila Elizabeth Crowell, Ph.D., is a renowned expert in child clinical psychology with extensive experience in academia and clinical practice. She earned her Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington in 2009, following an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2002, and a B.A. in Spanish, Cum Laude, from Boise State University in 1999.

Currently, Dr. Crowell serves as a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Utah, where she also holds adjunct professorships in the Departments of Psychiatry and Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been a faculty member at the University of Utah since 2010, progressing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, and ultimately to her current role. Dr. Crowell is also the Co-Founder of the Utah Center for Evidence-Based Treatment and the Director of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program. Her experience includes an APA-accredited clinical internship at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
