Dr. Shanda Haley Blackmon M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S. is a cardiovascular surgery expert witness from Texas. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts in 1991 from the University of Texas and then completed her Master of Public Health in 1994 from Emory University. Dr. Blackmon also earned her Doctor of Medicine in 1998 from Morehouse School of Medicine. She further completed her internship and first residency at Georgia Baptist Hospital and then completed her second residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She has physician's licenses from the states of Florida, Georgia, Minnesota and Texas and is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Currently, Dr. Blackmon is the Professor of Surgery as well as the Medical Director at Mayo Clinic.
