Dr. Saman Hazany is a board-certified neuroradiologist with active certifications from the American Board of Radiology and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. He holds an MD from the University of California San Diego and completed residency training at Harvard’s BIDMC and Staten Island University Hospital, followed by a neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC).

He currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and holds attending neuroradiologist positions at USC, the West Los Angeles VA, and Kaiser Permanente. His prior roles include Director of Neuroradiology and Interim Chair of Radiology at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.

Dr. Hazany’s research focuses on epilepsy imaging, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurorestoration. He has served as principal or co-investigator on multiple clinical trials, including NIH- and industry-sponsored studies. He has presented at national and international conferences and has over a dozen peer-reviewed publications.

He has been active in medical education and mentorship at USC, UCLA, and Harvard and has served as a reviewer for journals such as Journal of Clinical Neuroscience and Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine. He is a member of the ASNR, RSNA, and ASFNR.
