Dr. Russell Lee Adams, Ph.D., A.B.P.P.-C.N. is a David Ross Boyd Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is also Director of the Neuropsychology Lab at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. This laboratory conducts comprehensive evaluations of neurological patient's memory functioning, attention and concentration, executive functioning, problem solving and personality functioning. The patients he evaluates typically have or are suspected of having brain related disorders. The types of patients seen include a whole variety of neurological disorders (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, head injury, dementia of various types, mild cognitive impairment, seizure disorders, among others.) He also evaluates patients who have psychological overlay to their presenting cognitive or neurological problems. He also evaluates chronic pain patients. Dr. Adams is the Director of Psychology Training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is responsible for the training of postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology, psychology interns, and other fellows. In addition he has served on the examination board for the American Board of Professional Psychology. In this capacity he served as an examiner for psychologist seeking board certification in neuropsychology. He served the same function with respect to those seeking board certification in clinical psychology. He interested in Neuropsychological Assessment, Education of Postdoctoral Fellows and Interns in Psychology. Dr. Adams did Ph.D. from University of Texas (Austin).
