Robin L. Simmons is a retired motorcycle service manager and technician with over 45 years of experience in the repair, maintenance, and inspection of Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki motorcycles. From 1992 to 2016, he served as Service Manager and Lead Technician at Cycle Center in Kenner, Louisiana, overseeing service operations, supervising mechanics, and remaining fully certified through annual factory training in engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes. Prior to that, he worked as a motorcycle mechanic at Cycle Center in Metairie and Cycle Stop in New Orleans beginning in 1970.

Mr. Simmons’s expertise includes engine rebuilding, transmission diagnostics, electrical and brake system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and safety inspections. He has also conducted road-readiness evaluations for used motorcycles and provided ongoing technical advice to motorcycle mechanics across the country.

He has been recognized with multiple awards by American Suzuki Motor Corporation for technical training achievements, including in transmission and brake troubleshooting. Mr. Simmons has testified as an expert witness in two prior cases involving motorcycle service and safety issues: Troy P. Benoit et al. v. Southern Cycle Center, Inc. and Kermit Folse v. Honda Toyota of Morgan City et al.. He remains active as an informal consultant within the motorcycle service community.
