Dr. Robert H. Topel PH.D. is a health economics expert witness from Illinois. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1974 from The University of California, Santa Barbara and then completed his Ph.D. in Economics in 1981 from The University of California, Los Angeles.
Currently, Dr. Topel is the Isidore Brown and Gladys J. Brown Professor of Economics at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is the Director of the University's George J. Stigler Center for the Study of the Economy and the State. He is also the Director of the University of Chicago Energy Initiative. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Dr. Topel is also a Principal at Chicago Partners, a subsidiary of Navigant Consulting.
