Dr. Robert Dean Tonks, M.D., F.A.A.O.S. is an orthopaedic surgery expert from California. He completed his B.S. in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering in 1977 from the Auburn University at Auburn, Alabama and then earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1984 from the University of Texas Medical School at Austin, Texas. He further pursued his internship in General Surgery and residency in Orthopaedic Surgey from University of Miami at Miami, Florida and Jackson Memorial Medical Center at Miami, Florida respectively. Currently, Dr. Tonks is an orthopaedist at Scripps Memorial Hospital and Sharp Memorial Hospital. He also maintains his private practice at San Diego, California. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 1993.
