Dr. Robert David Stevens, M.D. is a physician based in Baltimore, Maryland. He is Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology. He did his medical graduation from Faculte de Medicine Universite de Geneve in the year 1992. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology from University of Geneva in 2002 and fellowship in critical care medicine and neurocritical care. He also completed postdoctoral research training in molecular neurobiology, cellular electrophysiology, advanced magnetic resonance imaging and brain mapping. His clinical expertise include Acute Stroke Care, Critical Care Medicine, Epilepsy, Intracerebral Hemorrhage , Neurological Critical Care and Traumatic Brain Injury. His research focuses on Precision Medicine; Applications of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Intensive Care Medicine. He holds the position of Director of Precision Medicine for Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and Associate Director of the Johns Hopkins Neurocritical Care Precision Medicine Center of Excellence. He holds faculty appointments in the Johns Hopkins Institute for Cell Engineering, Institute for Computational Medicine and the FM Kirby Center for Functional Neuroimaging. Dr. Stevens is affiliated with the Society of Critical Care Medicine, European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Society of Critical Care Anesthesiology and Neurocritical Society and is an Associate Editor of the journals Thorax, Critical Care Medicine, Neurocritical Care, Annals of Intensive Care and Frontiers in Neurology. He is the Fellow of the American Academy of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Stevens wants to apply Precision Medicine for the treatment of acutely and critically ill patients. The Stevens Lab (Laboratory of Computational Intensive Care Medicine) leverages robust theoretical paradigms, high-resolution multidimensional data, and artificial intelligence to enhance resilience and recovery of critically ill neurological patients. He has authored and co-authored many publications in his field of medicine. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Maryland.
