In addition to his teaching and administrative work, Dr. Stavins has been a prominent member of several influential environmental organizations, including serving as a University Fellow at Resources for the Future and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Dr. Stavins has been deeply involved in public policy, advising both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His professional career has also included contributions to major environmental projects, including the Harvard-Japan Project on Energy and the Environment and several national environmental policy initiatives.
