Dr. Robert Glenn Hubbard, Ph.D. is an economist based in New York, New York and a specialist in public finance, managerial information and incentive problems in corporate finance, and financial markets and institutions. He did Bachelors in Economics from University of Central Florida in June 1979 then he went on to pursue A.M., Economics from Harvard University. He also earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University in 1983. He holds the position of Russell L. Carson Professor of Economics and Finance, Graduate School of Business, Columbia University, Professor of Economics, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Columbia University and Co-Director, Columbia Business School Entrepreneurship Program. He was the former Chairman of President’s Council of Economic Advisers and Economic Policy Committee, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. He was a member of the White House National Economic Council and National Security Council and President’s Council on Science and Technology. He is a Research Associate, National Bureau of Economic Research (Monetary Economics, Corporate Finance, Public Economics, Economic Fluctuations, Industrial Organization). He has written more than 90 articles and books on corporate finance, investment decisions, banking, energy economics and public policy, including two textbooks, and has co-authored Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise: Five Steps to a Better Health Care System. Dr. Hubbard is the recipient of Exceptional Service Award by The White House in 2002, Michelle Akers Award for Distinguished Service by University of Central Florida in 2001.
