Richard L. Zimmerman, R.A. is an architectural expert witness and architect based in Ohio. He completed his studies in Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Joseph High in Cleveland between 1964 and 1968. He then earned his Bachelor of Architecture in Architecture and City Planning from the University of Cincinnati in 1974. Later, he received an MBA in Business from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in 1986.

Currently, Zimmerman serves as President of ZZ Design Inc., where he has worked as an architectural expert witness since 1988. He also served as Sustainable Architecture Examiner for Examiner.com from 2010 through 2017.

Prior to founding ZZ Design Inc., Zimmerman was a Senior Project Manager at Richard L. Bowen & Associates from 1977 to 1987. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Urban Designer with the City of Cincinnati Department of Urban Development from 1974 to 1977.
