From 1983 to 1988, he completed his Internship and Residency from General Surgery Columbia Hospital, New York. He completed his Fellowship from Vascular Surgery Tufts New Eng., Fellowship Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts. He is board certified General and Vascular Surgeon from American Board of Surgery in 1989 and 1992 respectively. He had medical licensed in state of New York from 1983 to 1988, in the state of Massachusetts from 1988 to 1990, in state of Florida from 1990 to 1993. Since 1993, he has medical licensed in state of New Jersey. Dr. Nitzberg also runs the Summit Medical Group Vein Center, which provides treatment for spider and varicose veins with leading-edge laser treatment. In addition, he is Chief of General Surgery and Vice Chief of Vascular Surgery at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. He has been featured in the Castle Connolly "Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area," Castle Connolly "America's Top Doctors," and New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings. Dr. Nitzberg's Castle Connolly listings have been reprinted in US News and World Report and Inside Jersey.
