Dr. Richard Stephen Miller, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a surgical critical care expert witness from Tennessee. He also has expertise in general surgery and trauma surgery. He has medical practitioner’s licenses from the states of Tennessee and Texas. He is also certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his B.A. in Biology/Natural Sciences in the year 1980 from the University of South Florida at Tampa, Florida and then earned his M.D. in 1983 from the Universidad C.E.T.E.C. at Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed his post-doctoral research as a clinical research fellow at the Texas Heart Institute, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital. He also completed his residencies from the Easton Hospital at Easton, Pennsylvania and the Hahnemann University Hospital at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He further completed his fellowships in surgical critical care and trauma from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Miller is the Professor of Surgery and the Chief at the Division of Trauma & Surgical Critical Care of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has several publications to his credit. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
