Currently, Dr. Cheung serves as the Chief of Hepatology at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) and is the Director of the Fellowship in GI & Hepatology at Stanford, positions he has held since 1999 and 2004, respectively. He has also previously held roles such as Chief of Gastroenterology at VA-Livermore and Director of Endoscopy at VAPAHCS. Dr. Cheung’s academic contributions and leadership in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology have made him a prominent figure in both clinical and educational settings.
