He completed his internship and housemanship at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, India, followed by junior and senior residency training at the prestigious Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute (VPCI), University of Delhi, where he specialized in Tuberculosis and Respiratory Medicine. His U.S. residency training included three years in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri Hospitals & Clinics, followed by advanced training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as a fellow at Duke University Medical Center. He also completed his fellowship at the Saskatchewan Lung Association in Canada.
