Peter Michael Hill, M.D., M.Sc., F.A.C.E.P. is an emergency medicine physician in Baltimore, Maryland. He has been in practice for more than 20 years. He awarded with medical degree in Medicine from University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1995. He has completed his residencies in Emergency Medicine from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1998. He has got his Board Certifications in Emergency Medicine from American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1999. Dr. Hill is actively involved in many specialty interests, including protocol development to reduce hospital readmissions and improve emergency department operations, as well as characterization of emergency department observation unit population. His research interests include the utilization, management and role of observation or acute care medicine in the practice of emergency medicine. He was the co-primary investigator on a multisite Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval trial of a magnetocardiography device that has shown promise as a very sensitive adjunct to the EKG in identifying patients with acute coronary syndrome. He serves as the senior vice president of medical affairs for the Johns Hopkins Health System and vice president of medical affairs for the Johns Hopkins Hospital, appointed to these positions in March, 2017.
