He did his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Lehigh University in the year 1984. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Pennsylvania (# PE026029E), New York (# 69214), New Jersey (# 24GE02344700) and Delaware (# 8078). He is a member of Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. Dreyer was assigned to the Army Corps of Engineers. He performed facilities engineering for power boilers, chillers and a cold storage plant. He served the Army from 1972 to 1974. He worked in organizations like Research Cottrell, Ecolaire, Inc. Spotts, Stevens and McCoy and UAI Group, Inc. Currently he teaches the Mechanical Engineer's Professional License Review Course in preparation for the P.E. licensure test for graduate engineers at Penn State University since 2001.
