Patrice T. Morin-Resch, BA, CPC, CPMA, CMRS, is a medical coding and reimbursement expert with nearly four decades of professional experience. She is the founder of MedBooks, Inc., established in 1985, where she has authored and published over 50 copyrighted works on medical coding. Her instructional book series, Expert Coding Made Easy!, developed in 1989, has been used by more than 900 schools and universities and remains a long-standing reference in the industry.

Ms. Morin-Resch has trained more than 35,000 professionals worldwide in the use of the American Medical Association CPT® codebook. She served as an editor of the CPT® Codebook for the American Medical Association between 1984 and 1986, where she contributed to code development and responded to extensive practitioner inquiries during its early implementation.

She provides expert testimony for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance companies, with particular focus on physician usual and customary fees, coding standards, and reimbursement practices. She holds certifications as a Certified Professional Coder, Certified Professional Medical Auditor, and Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist.

Her professional involvement includes leadership roles with the American Academy of Professional Coders and membership in the American Medical Billing Association and the Textbook and Academic Authors Association. She is fluent in Spanish.
