Currently, Dr. Desai serves as an active surgeon at both Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He is also an attending surgeon at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In his academic roles, Dr. Desai is the Director of the Thoracic Aortic Surgery Research Program, the Co-Director of the Aortic & Vascular Disease Center for Excellence, and the Director of Clinical Research in the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Additionally, he oversees the Penn Aortic Center, contributing to advancements in clinical and research aspects of aortic surgery.
