Nicola S. Gilboy

Nicola S. Gilboy, R.N., M.S., C.E.N., F.A.E.N. is a nurse expert witness from Massachusetts. She is a Registered Nurse Board Certified from the state of Massachusetts. She is also a Certified Instructor Trainer Certified by the Trauma Nursing Core Course, Instructor Trainer Certified by the Emergency Nursing Paediatric Course, and a Certified Emergency Nurse. She completed her diploma in 1973 from the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing, Hartford, Connecticut and then earned her B.S. in Nursing in 1978 from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then pursued her M.S. in Nursing in 1984 from the Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts. She further pursued her Doctoral Credits in 1986 from the Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts. Currently, Nicola S. Gilboy is an associate chief nursing officer for emergency medicine at the UMass Memorial Medical Centre. Formerly, She was the practitioner teacher of the emergency department at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Massachusetts for the years 1996 to 1998, Clinical Nurse Specialist of the emergency department at the Emerson Hospital, Concord, Massachusetts for the years 1989 to 1996 and also a staff nurse of the emergency department at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the years 1973 to 1974. She served as the Instructor of Baccalaureate Program at the Boston University School of Nursing, Boston, Massachusetts for the years 1984 to1987. She has numerous publications to her credit. She is also a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, The Academy of Emergency Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau.
