He then earned his M.A. in Microbiology in the year 1974 and subsequently obtained his M.D. in 1978 from the Boston University at Boston, Massachusetts. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Internal Medicine from the University of Colorado Affiliated Hospitals. He also served as the Chief Resident from 1981 to 1982 at the University of Colorado Affiliated Hospitals. He further pursued his fellowship in Cardiology from the Duke University Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Shadoff is a cardiologist at the Presbyterian Heart Group. He is also the Medical Director of the Presbyterian Hospital at Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also has several publications to his credit.
