Dr. Michael Allen Schweitzer, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a general surgery expert witness from Maryland. His clinical expertise also includes bariatric surgery, minimally invasive surgery, transoral endoscopic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. He has an active medical license from the state of Maryland and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine in the year 1991 and then further completed his residency in General Surgery from the Case Western Reserve University Medical School. Currently, Dr. Schweitzer is the Associate Professor of Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He is also the Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatric Surgery and Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
