Dr. Michael Joseph Durkin M.D. is an epidemiology, infectious disease and internal medicine expert witness from Missouri. He completed his B.A. in Biology in 2004 from Illinois Wesleyan University and then earned his M.D. in 2008 from Medical College of Wisconsin. He further completed his residency from Barnes-Jewish Hospital and his fellowship from Duke University. Dr. Durkin also completed his Master of Public Health in 2015 from the University of North Carolina. He has a physician's license from the state of Missouri and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Durkin is the Co-director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and an Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Additionally, he is the Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Antibiotic Stewardship at Barnes Jewish St. Peters and Progress West Hospitals. He is also the Associate Professor of Medicine at the Washington University School of Medicine in St.Louis.
