Currently, Dr. Acker is the William Maul Measey Professor of Surgery and Professor of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also the Director of Heart and Vascular Center, the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery and the Chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Health Systems. He also has been many publications to his credit. He resides in Pennsylvania.
