From 1980 to 1984, Dr. Hedrick worked with the Comprehensive Mental Health Center in Tacoma, Washington, where she conducted court-referred evaluations, testified in legal proceedings, and supervised clinical staff. She also held administrative positions overseeing programs for severely mentally ill adults. Her early roles included directing residential treatment services at Eastside Mental Health Center and coordinating crisis services.
Dr. Hedrick served on the faculty of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology, offering seminars on forensic ethics and parental evaluations. She was also part of the examination faculty of the American Board of Forensic Psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and earned her B.A. from Stanford University.
Her publications include a co-authored article on parental alienation. In addition to English, she is proficient in French and Wolof. Her professional experience includes international work with the Peace Corps in Senegal from 2012 to 2014.
