Mark Robert Zonfrillo

Dr. Mark Robert Zonfrillo M.D., M.S.C.E.is a pediatric emergency medicineexpert witness fromPennsylvania. His research focuses on pediatric injury epidemiology, with emphasis on risk factors for motor vehicle occupant injuries, concussion, and disabling injuries in children.He is a clinical epidemiologist, and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, USA.He has medical practitioner’s licenses from the states ofRhode Island and Florida. He is certified by theAmerican Board of Pediatrics.He completed his ScB in Behavioral Neuroscience fromBrown University in 1999. He earned an M.D. from Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2003 and a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the Perelman School of Medicine Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at The University of Pennsylvania in 2010. He completed his residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, and his fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.Dr. Zonfrillo is the current Director of Informatics for the Department of Emergency Medicine, the Director of Postgraduate Academic Career Development for the Department of Pediatrics, and the Associate Director for the Master of Science in Population Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Zonfrillo serves on the Executive Committee for the Council on Injury, Violence and Poison Prevention (COIVPP) of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) and the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM).He is an Epic Physician builder and has interest in electronic health record-based screening and interventions for childhood injury risk.
