He has served on a number of national committees for ACG, including the Clinical Research Committee, Public Relations Committee, Education Committee, and SAT subcommittee, as well as on committees for the AASLD, AGA, AST and UNOS. He has been the PI on dozens of clinical trials in hepatitis C and other liver diseases, and has more than 100 publications on research in liver diseases and transplantation.
