Dr. Mark A. Roberts is a physician and epidemiologist with board certification in Occupational Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He holds an M.D., Ph.D. in Biostatistics and Epidemiology, M.P.H., and M.Ed., all from the University of Oklahoma. He currently serves as Principal Scientist in the Health Practice at Exponent, where he has worked since 2007.

Dr. Roberts has over four decades of experience in public health, occupational medicine, and environmental health, including positions as State Epidemiologist for Oklahoma, Associate and Acting Chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and Corporate Medical Director at BP Inc. His consulting experience includes medical and environmental epidemiology, health risk assessment, and occupational health.

He has served on multiple advisory boards and panels, including the Board of Directors of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and the National Research Council’s committee on lead exposure risk. Dr. Roberts has authored or co-authored peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and government reports addressing epidemiology, toxicology, and workplace health.

He has held medical licensure in Oklahoma and Wisconsin and continues to advise public health departments and serve in institutional leadership roles related to occupational health and safety.
