Dr. Mark J. Ratain, M.D. is a hematology and oncology expert witness from Illinois. He completed his A.B. in 1976 from Harvard University and then earned his M.D. in 1980 from Yale University School of Medicine. He further completed his residency from Johns Hopkins University and his fellowship from the University of Chicago. He has a physician’s license from the state of Illinois and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Ratain is the Leon O. Jacobson Professor of Medicine, the Director of the Center for Personalized Therapeutics and the Chief in Hospital Pharmacology at the University of Chicago. Prior to this, he was the Co-Director and a Professor at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Ratain has additional knowledge in new drug development, Phase I and Phase II drug development, advanced solid tumors.
