Mark Steven Lachs

Dr.MarkStevenLachsM.D., M.P.H.is a geriatrics expert witness fromNew York. His clinical expertise also includesinternal medicine and palliative medicine. He has an active medical licensefrom the state of New York and is certified by the American Board ofInternal Medicine. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in the year 1981 from the University of Pennsylvania and then earned his medical degree from theNew York UniversitySchool of Medicine in 1985. He also earned a MPH degree in chronic disease epidemiology from YaleUniversity in 1990. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also became aRobert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. He further completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from the Yale University School of Medicine. Currently, Dr.MarkStevenLachs maintains his practice at The Irving Sherwood Wright Center. He is the Irene and Roy Psaty DistinguishedProfessor of Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College and Co-Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, and the Director of Geriatrics for The New York Presbyterian Health Care System.He is also a Founder of the New York City Elder Abuse Center. He has numerous publications to his credit.
