Dr. Mark Z. Jacobson, Ph.D., M.S., B.S., B.A., is a leading expert in civil and environmental engineering with a focus on atmospheric sciences and renewable energy solutions. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Stanford, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from UCLA.

Currently, he is a Professor at Stanford University, where he co-founded and directs the Atmosphere/Energy Program. Dr. Jacobson is also a co-founder of The Solutions Project and a Senior Fellow at both the Woods Institute for the Environment and the Precourt Institute for Energy. Previously, he served as Associate Director of the Environmental Fluid Mechanics Laboratory at Stanford and held various research and teaching positions at UCLA.
