Dr. Mariusz Ziejewski, Ph.D., is a biomechanical engineering and accident reconstruction expert witness with experience in impact biomechanics, traumatic brain injury, human body dynamics, crash analysis, and mechanical engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, Poland, in 1975, followed by a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering in 1977. He later received a Ph.D. in Engineering from North Dakota State University in 1985 and completed additional medical-related coursework and certifications in anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, injury scaling, and crash data analysis.

Dr. Ziejewski is a Tenured Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at North Dakota State University, where he previously served as Director of the Impact Biomechanics Laboratory and Director of the Automotive Systems Laboratory. He also serves as a Clinical Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. Over his career, he has taught biomechanics, vehicle dynamics, kinematics, and computer modeling while conducting research focused on human body biomechanics and traumatic brain injury. His professional activities have included leadership roles with the North American Brain Injury Society, participation in Department of Defense blast injury research initiatives, ASTM standards committees, and the International Brain Injury Association. Dr. Ziejewski is also a Fully Accredited Accident Reconstructionist (ACTAR) and has authored four book chapters and more than 125 peer-reviewed technical publications.
