Marcovalerio Melis

Dr. Marcovalerio Melis M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Surgery expert witness from New York. He has an active medical practitioner’s license from the states of New York and Florida. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He finished his B.S. in 1988 from the Maturità Classica of Liceo Classico "Don Bosco" at Cagliari, Italy, and then earned his M.D. in 1994 from the Universita Di Cagliari at the School of Medicine of Italy. He then pursued his internship and residency from the University of Cagliari, Italy. He also pursued his Residency and Internship at the University of Chicago at Chicago, Illinois. He further completed his Research fellow at the Department of Surgery from the University of Chicago Medical Center of Chicago, Illinois, USA and he also pursued his fellowship at the Department of Surgery from the University of Cagliari at Cagliari, Italy. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Association fellow member of the Committee on Perioperative Care. Currently, Dr. Melis is working with New York Harbor Healthcare System as a Surgeon in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology and Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology. He is also presently joined with Associate Professor of Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine, Member of the GI Cancer and Sarcoma Disease Management Group of the New York University Cancer Institute and he is a Surgeon of the Surgical Oncology at NYU Hospital Centers and Bellevue Hospital. He also has several publications to his credit.
