Dr. Marc Kevin Eckstein M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.E.P. is an emergency medicine expert witness in Los Angeles, California. He provides expertise in matters of Trauma, Resuscitation, Injury, Accidents. He has a medical license from the state of California and is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Eckstein completed his Bachelor of Science Degree with distinction with a major in microbiology from Cornell University in 1985, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 1989. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California School of Medicine Medical Center in 1993, after serving as Chief Resident during his fourth year of training. He received his Masters in Public Health degree with a concentration in homeland security in 2007. Currently, Dr. Eckstein is the Commander of EMS Bureau, Los Angeles Fire Department. He is the medical director for the Los Angeles Fire Department, which is the nation’s second busiest EMS provider. He’s a professor of clinical emergency medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC), and the director of prehospital care at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center. He served as a volunteer in Founder and Medical Director of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Program and as Reserve Police Officer in City of San Fernando Police Department. He also served in the Medical Team Manager of California Urban Search and Rescue Team (CA-TF#1 FEMA). He is a member of American College of Emergency Physicians. He has numerous publications to his credit.
